With a script from her then 17-year-old nephew, a film student, she executive produced Static, a film about teen heroin abuse. She also co-directed a film about racial discrimination, Black and White. She also completed post production on her new role in Lifetime's Inspector Mom, a new series shot in Texas.
Lincoln was married to Michael Martin Lincoln on December 5, 1981 and remained married until his death on December 4, 1995. She has two children and lives near Dallas, Texas. She has been battling breast cancer since 2008, and by 2012 had gone through numerous surgeries.
